Juan

Juan carries the memory of a flight over the Andean highlands, when the earth folds into mineral waves beneath the mist and altitude erases every landmark. Made in pure alpaca, hand-tufted, it translates this relief into the very thickness of the fibre: levels of height that play with light as the Andean ridges play with the sky. This technique, inherited from the patient gesture of Peruvian workshops, sculpts the material without ever drawing it in the classical sense.

Inata finds here its attachment to self-knowledge and to altitude as metaphor: a rug that invites one to rise above, to slow down, to observe the world from a point suspended between mystery and serenity. A landscape one senses more than one sees, felt through the fibre rather than described by it.
