the care of your product in Alpaca Inata

You have just purchased an Inata Alpaca item, and we thank you. Patiently made by passionate craftsmen, it can last a lifetime if you know how to take care of it. Inata only uses full-grain leathers fot its labels, worked to reveal their grain and their natural characteristics : wrinkles, veins and pores. Far from being imperfections, these shades indicate great “transparency” of the skin, a guarantee of its quality and its ability to age well.

The metal pieces called “jewelry” in leather goods, are generally made of polished brass and covered with a plating of fine gold, palladium or permabrass. To help you make your Inata alpaca product a faithful and reliable companion over the years, we invite you to read these few maintenance tips carefully.

Protect it from the weather

Protect it from any prolonged exposure to intense light or heat (direct sun, behind a bay window, on a radiator, etc.), wich would alter its color.

Avoid bad encounters

Certain materials can indelibly mark: ink (felt-tip pens and pens), oily products (makeup and lipstick), perfume or alcoholic products.

Give him regular vacation

To keep all its original beauty, your Inata Alpaca object needs time to rest. When not in use, offer it the best conditions of storage: dry, in a temperate environment and protected from light, preferably in its original box or protective pouch.

Offer him the maintenance that suits him

Rather than intervening yourself, at the risk of damaging them, the best way to maintain them is to entrust them regularly to a specialist company, for a state of the art cleaning. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact us; our after-sales service will do everything possible to help you as well as possible.

Although pampered with care, disasters can happen.

In this case, here is the procedure to follow so that your purchase crosses time with you.

Throws & Cushions

Liquid spills must be blotted up as soon as possible. First, remove any solid materials if present with care. Using a white towel, white cloth or white paper towel to draw up the liquid is best, as it will eliminate the possible migration of dyes to the blanket or throw.

Place the towel or cloth on top of the spill and starting from the outside of the spill, apply pressure to soak up the liquid and draw it out of the wool.

Never rub a wet liquid stain. Repeat this step until clean. If a stain is still evident, apply a small amount of lukewarm water and draw it out using the same method described above.

Using a designated wool detergent can help remove the stain as well but use sparingly so to avoid possible fading of dyes.

Make sure all the detergent is then removed from the wool. If the stain can’t be removed using these methods, seek professional advice. For small spot stains that have already dried on your blanket or throw, we do recommend that a designated wool detergent be used as per its instructions, if you wish to attempt to remove the stain yourself.

If you have any doubts whatsoever or the stain is still evident once dry, seek the advice or service of an experienced cleaning professional. Never machine wash or hand wash an entire blanket or throw with water. This could lead to deformation and/or possible running of dyes.

Rugs

Care instructions

INATA carpets are naturally anti-noise and fire-resistant. They purify the air and do not fix the dust. During the first 2 months, the carpet loses its excess fiber, in the form of plush. Vacuum without rubbing. Do not brush with a stiff brush. Proper and regular maintenance extends the life of the carpet and retains its original appearance.

Big talk:

Every 6 months, or every year, depending on the amount of traffic, the carpet should be thoroughly cleaned. Dey shampoo: The cleaning is done by dusting a shampoo powder known brand, followed by the passage of the vacuul after penetration of the product.

Wet shampoo

Dilute the product as little as possible. Do not soak the carpet. Using a shampoo maker of known brand, spread the cleaning product that has been added vinegar, emphasizing the most soiled parts. Let dry, avoiding any passage. Carefully vacuum.
