Chakra

Unveiled for the first time during Paris Design Week 2021, Chakra is the result of a collaboration between visual artist Sara Badr Schmidt and Maison Inata. Creativity and expertise have come together to create a unique product, produced in a very limited edition. Entirely hand-tufted in alpaca and silk in the finest weaving workshops of the Peruvian Altiplano, it captures the softness of these noble fibres and the boldness of the colours carefully selected by the artist.

A journey for the senses, Chakra invites you to relax and recharge your batteries. In this piece, everything has been designed to allow the body to embrace both the softness and the suppleness of the material. A bold colour gradient unfolds in the centre, symbolising the progression of the chakras through the energy centres, while the rest of the rug features a subtle and soft tone-on-tone ecru. In this room, everything invites you to embark on a sensory journey and relax: the material, the shape, the colours.

A true work of art designed like a painting, the Chakra rug can be placed on the floor for a moment of rest or hung on the wall for meditative contemplation.
