Llasa Throw

The only piece in our collections made from 100% merino wool, the Llasa throw once again showcases the expertise of our partners and the most precious gifts the Andes have to offer. A free-roaming domestic animal native to Spain, the merino is a sheep with a very thick fleece. The wool it produces is rare and precious, similar to soft down, but above all famous for its exquisite softness. Farmers in the Peruvian Altiplano often have merino sheep, which accompany their herds of alpacas in the pastures.

That is why we have decided to include this fibre in our collections, which our partner workshops work with in a special way to give it the most beautiful finish. Like alpaca fibre, merino wool has thermoregulatory and insulating properties, making it ideal for long winter evenings.

With its delicate cream-white colour and sublime softness, the Llasa throw is the embodiment of natural authenticity, both powerful and gentle. A total of twelve of our partner farmers supply us with the fibre used to make the Llasa throw, which is then entirely handmade on traditional looms.
