Boga

Boga, from the Spanish verb ‘bogar’ (to row), evokes the fluid momentum of a boat and the pattern of waves it leaves behind. This controlled energy can be seen in the fabric: an iridescent sheen, a subtle undulation, a texture that captures the light.

Born in the highlands of the Altiplano, the fabric expresses a calm and sensual elegance. We sought to recreate the effect of sable fur, with its lively, almost liquid sheen, by working with fine fibres and then meticulously refining them to enhance their brilliance without compromising on comfort.

Composition : 68% baby alpaca, 29% merino wool, 3% nylon

The 3% nylon is incorporated into the backing to provide micro-elasticity and improved resilience: seam and shape retention, dimensional stability and comfort when seated.

Weaving & finishing : long fibres woven, then steam treated at 120°C and wave brushed for a luminous ‘sable’ effect.

Width : 150 cm

Weight per unit area (approx.) : approximately 385 g/m² (≈ 580 g/ml over a width of 150 cm)

The result: a soft, luminous, sophisticated fabric with a sumptuous, elegant and stylish drape.
