The fur used to make this blanket comes from alpaca herds living at altitudes between 4,500 and 5,400 metres. In this tropical climate at high altitude, temperatures vary dramatically. They range between 25°C during the day and -30°C at night throughout the year. Additionally, the rainy seasons from January to March bring harsh conditions.

The combination of these extreme temperatures and high humidity during these periods is fatal for some alpacas. Therefore, together with our partner breeders, we decided to turn this loss into an opportunity. For them, it represents both a sentimental and financial burden. To address this, we put them in touch with the best furriers in the country to transform these furs. Consequently, this process gave rise to our range of 100% natural fur products.
